England Only – Enhanced Service – Seasonal Flu Vaccination

With immediate effect, CQRS are no longer including Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Read code 65ED Seasonal influenza vaccination for Enhanced Services (ES).

We are currently working on a solution for this however, in the meantime, this blog contains a solution for ES purposes:

Read codes

The following Read codes are picked up by the CQRS:

  • 65ED4 Administration of first inactivated seasonal flu vaccination, or
  • 65ED5 Administration of second inactivated seasonal flu vaccination

These must be added as Medical History entries:

  1. From Consultation Manager, select the correct patient and then select Medical History HX.png.
  2. The Medical History - Add screen displays, in Read Term for Characteristic, enter either #65ED4 or #65ED5 as appropriate.
  3. Press <Enter> and the Read term selected displays.
  4. Complete the rest of Medical History – Add as required.
  5. Select OK to save and close.

Therapy

The following therapy items are picked up by the CQRS:

  • Influenza Tetra MYL vaccine suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (Mylan)
  • Fluad vaccine suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (Seqirus Vaccines Ltd)
  • Influvac Sub-unit vaccine suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (Mylan)
  • Fluarix Tetra vaccine suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (GlaxoSmithKline UK Ltd)
  • Agrippal vaccine suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (Seqirus Vaccines Ltd)
  • Quadrivalent influenza vaccine (split virion, inactivated) suspension for injection 0.5ml pre-filled syringes (Sanofi Pasteur)

Simply add the appropriate medication via Therapy – Add, remember to tick P/Admin.
