Recording and Reporting on Influenza Vaccine Types

An update to enable you to record and report on influenza vaccine type is due for inclusion in a future Vision Release.

Until such times, the following solution can be applied:

When recording an Influenza immunisation, enter the vaccine type after the Batch number. Precede the type with an * in case the batch number includes any of the code characters.

You can now search for the type of vaccines used:

From Search and Reports, create an Ad hoc search and specify:

    • Patient Details:
      • Date of Birth - where appropriate.
    • Immunisations
      • Batch number, select Contains and enter the type as used.
      • Date of administration.
    • Report Output, select Count.

To find any immunisations already recorded without a type in Batch, you can run the following search:

 Note – Select Does Not Contain in the Batch number selection.

Create a Patient group from this report and then run through the Immunisation entries made and update them with the type as required.
